Wow - I am impressed! How do you make the puff pastry, we eat a lot of pies these days but always just buy the pre-made stuff at Sainsburys, I think I'd rather make it myself but I don't know where to start. I would guess it involves a lot of butter and flour :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize how much butter went into puff pastry - the rough puff I made isn't even as buttery as real puff pastry! It wasn't that hard to make, it was time consuming but most of it is waiting around while the pastry chills between rolling it out. I used this recipe.. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2403/roughpuff-pastry- and it worked pretty well :-)
